Labor for Walz!

Dear Friend,

From the beginning of this campaign, I have  been fortunate to receive the support of  everyday citizens from across southern  Minnesota. Together, we have brought effective  change to Washington, forging common-sense  solutions to the problems facing middle-class      families.

In anticipation of Labor Day 2008, a group of  those supporters have come together to launch Labor for Walz , a strong, grassroots organization of working families who want to bring middle-class values back to Washington.

As we reach the fall campaign season, Labor for Walz will talk to voters about the positive change we’ve made in Washington, and about the work we still have to do. They’ll talk about our positive vision to strengthen the economy, make healthcare more affordable and make America energy independent.

For over a century, the organized labor movement has been working to protect and build the middle class through safe working conditions, living wages and health care for workers.

I am proud to be a union member and that so many  members of the organized labor movement support my  campaign to change the way Washington works. As  members of Labor for Walz come together to spread  out positive message, I ask you to get involved and  help us make history in November!

 Thank you!

 Congressman Tim Walz
